About Annie

Annie Mascorro is an ANFT Certified Forest Therapy Guide. She has been leading Forest Therapy wanderings since December 2021 and completed her ANFT intensive immersion in Colorado in July 2022. Annie is a poet, outdoor enthusiast, and avid forest bather. Sharing her deep love of nature, contemplation, and sensory pleasures is her response to a collective disconnection and the ongoing climate crisis. A former psych nurse turned therapist and Forest Therapy Guide, she delights in the stories we all have within us, the sweet smell of pine, and the call of the red-shouldered hawk. She lives near the North Fork of the American River in the Foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains with her husband and their two cats.

Guide Statement

As a Forest Therapy guide, I support partnerships between people and the natural world. I recognize that everyone receives what they need out of their time in nature. I have no agenda or fixed ideas about the process and can only guarantee that every experience will be unique. The forest is generous and will offer itself to us over and over again. Our attention and gratitude to it creates a space for mutual healing. Such a gift manifests differently for each person and each experience.
All are welcome.

From the world of corruption,
I can prepare tea
